Veronica Foundation
From each order on the e-shop, we send an amount worth
0.11% of the sales incl. VAT to the Veronica Foundation in support of nature and environmental protection. The foundation was established in 1992, continuing the tradition of the environmental movement Veronica and the magazine Veronica, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The foundation operates mainly in the territory of Moravia, with financial contributions it supports projects that build a gentle relationship with nature and the environment, and the protection of nature and the landscape. The Veronica Foundation also runs four charity shops in Brno, where people can donate nice things and the proceeds from their sales go to the Together for Brno fund. From it, the foundation primarily supports
the development of community life in Brno and once a year distributes contributions to ecological, community and cultural projects in Brno and the surrounding area, in 2016 it distributed roughly half a million crowns. Important activities of the foundation also include benefit dinners with distinguished personalities, benefit auctions of works of art or the awarding of the Veronica Foundation Award for teachers who support children's relationship with nature. The foundation participates in the support of projects in the White Carpathian village of Hostětín, which implement simple and concrete ecological solutions in practice (root cleaning plant, municipal wood chip heating plant, solar collectors, etc.). In Hostětín, the foundation mainly supported the establishment of a cider house, in which it also owns a share. This first organic cider house in our country helps preserve traditional fruit growing and apple varieties in the White Carpathians and gives work to people in this rural region.
The RAINBOW Movement
The DUHA movement is an ecological organization that promotes a healthy environment for life, colorful nature and a smart economy. Their activity can stir up politicians and authorities so that something starts to change. The RAINBOW movement deals with companies and helps households with education
on how to behave more ecologically . Hand on heart, there are really many possibilities for improvement in our lives, from waste sorting to carrying your own bags to the store or filling your own glass containers directly in the store, to ecological passive houses.
Packaging-free stores allow you to bring your own containers, where they pour, for example, sunflower oil. If everyone starts at home, will do it with love and will enjoy it, the Czech Republic could become more ecological over time and therefore still beautiful for the next generation of our descendants. The RAINBOW Movement is supported financially mainly by private individuals with small amounts, which are on average about 160,- and they are not few, but since we care about the environment, we decided to establish cooperation with the RAINBOW Movement and support them. Every month we will send a precisely calculated amount to the account of the RAINBOW Movement, or
0.2% of sales on the e-shop www.ahifi.cz without VAT - sales from the previous month. Their activity has helped more than one corner of the Czech Republic and they are still fighting for nature. We are going to fight them, with financial support and our behavior. We sort waste in the company and most of us behave ecologically in our private lives as well.
