BMW 5 (E60) - Audison sound system with DSP processor and soundproofing of the doors

Top sound system from Italian Audison for BMW 5 (E60). The new system stands out not only for its sound, but especially for its installation without any interference with the original wiring. Audison offers a complete sound system with specific wiring that ensures integration to the factory system without the need to cut, solder or stretch new classic wiring. In this particular vehicle, there was only the basic BMW sound system. This trim includes paper full-range speakers in the front doors and ceiling, and 165mm paper subwoofers under the seats. All speakers are connected to the car radio without an external amplifier. What is most striking about this system is the absence of tweeters. So the sound is without any details and if you expect at least minimal quality, you will be very disappointed with the result. In this case, the complete replacement of the speakers and installation of the amplifier is slightly more demanding than with the higher equipment of the Hi-Fi Sound System. The reason is the fact that there is no factory amplifier in the equipment and the speakers and subwoofers are connected to the factory car radio. At Audison, however, they have thought of everything and the installation in this car is characterized by Plug & Play installation without any intervention in the original electrical installation, no soldering or cutting is done and everything is solved using identical connectors. This way, you do not risk losing the warranty of the new car, and it is possible to dismantle the new sound system at any time and return the original one, for example due to the sale of the vehicle. So what did the assembly involve? In the front doors, we replaced the original full-range speakers with Audison split-height component speakers, which we placed in new original BMW housings. We installed Audison coaxial speakers in the rear deck and replaced the original 165mm paper subwoofers with powerful 200mm Diaphragm Audison subwoofers under the front seats. All speakers and subwoofers are very easy to install thanks to the same shape of speakers and connectors. The most complicated part of the whole installation is mounting the amplifier. In order to be able to use the factory wiring, it is necessary to run original Audison Plug & Play wiring from the amplifier to the head unit and subwoofers. Here again, however, we install everything without interfering with the original cabling, we just clip the new cabling onto the existing cabling, which only solutions from Audison can do. In this assembly, we chose a more powerful version of the Audison Forza amplifier to make the most of the new speakers and subwoofers. The last stage of the installation is sound tuning on the DSP processor, where we set crossovers, filters, time corrections or a detailed equalizer. The result is a top-quality sound system tailored to the car in question, which significantly surpasses even the extra-charged Harman Kardon and Bang & Olufsen systems.View products >Hide products >
