Phantom power supply for car antenna Per.Pic.
The antenna power supply is mainly used in group cars (VW, Škoda, Audi, Seat) from 1998 to the present. Original car radios have a special phantom power supply for the antenna built inside, but new aftermarket car radios do not have it. So if we want the amplifier in the antenna to work, we need to buy a power supply that will solve the problem with the power supply to the car antenna. This is the so-called phantom power supply, i.e. after the coax. There are several types of antenna power supplies, but the most basic ones are ISO-DIN and FAKRA-DIN . The antenna power supply is connected between the new car radio and the antenna connector in the car. The antenna power supply always has a blue switching cable that is connected to the switched plus on the opposite side of the ISO connector, usually position no. 5, a blue or blue-white cable.
