The Hertz MLCX 2 TW.3 crossovers have the ability to connect a bi-amp system, i.e. connect two amplifiers, or even two separate channels to the crossover, so that it is possible to drive the mid-bass speaker and the tweeter completely separately. A significant increase in performance with this configuration highlights all the features of the system. In addition, the crossover point can be changed thanks to the Mid-Contour and Hi-Contour controls, which are designed to control the resonant frequency of the mid-bass and the resonant frequency of the tweeter. Thanks to this, the frequency response can be fine-tuned, adapted to the different acoustic properties of the cars and different speaker placements.

Main features of Hertz MLCX 2 TW.3 crossovers

Mid-Contour two-position control for a linear mid-frequency response according to the position of the bass in the car and the listener's favorite sound.
Two-position Hi-Contour control to adjust the tweeter according to the position / angle of the tweeter to the listener.
The Mid-Contour in conjunction with the Hi-Contour provides the ability to use the MLCX 2 TW.3 to create a two-band system.
Three-position tweeter level switch in 2dB increments for fine-tuning the pickup's output.
The Hi-Boost control, which is selectable with a suitable switch, provides better linearity of the tweeter's output above 10000 Hz when off-axis with the listener.
Extremely high quality bimetallized 160V polyester film capacitors with ultra-low DF for maximum sound transparency and elegant mid/high frequencies.
Pure copper wire induction coil with a diameter of up to 1 mm for a high magnetic flux saturation threshold and low losses in the woofer parts where high transient currents are required.
The high performance of the wire-wound resistor ensures performance stability even at high operating temperature.
