Audi A6 - soundproofing
Audi A6 sound deadening, this time in our Premium package and individually modified. The owner of this car gave us a strict specification, namely the maximum weight of the materials is 60 Kg. We calculated everything thoroughly and our Premium package for this large car would have a weight of approx. 10 Kg over the limit. So we had to find a compromise somewhere. Černý Peter took out the anti-vibration material on the floor and bottom of the luggage compartment. Specifically, we abandoned the top-quality Comfortmat Atom material with a thickness of 4 mm and chose the light anti-vibration material Comfortmat Dark D3 with a thickness of 3 mm, and instead of the mentioned Dark D3, which we normally use here, we applied the same material to the bottom of the trunk, only with a thickness of 2.3 mm. This saved us 10 kg of material, while the efficiency of the first layer remains very high. So we soundproofed the front, rear and fifth doors, the floor, the luggage compartment, the bonnet and the front and rear wheel arches from the inside. At the same time, four of our experienced technicians work on the soundproofing, and they can complete the installation within 1 day. You can find out more information in our photo report.
