The ASP is an indispensable aid when installing an Audison AP 8.9 DSP amplifier with some OEM sources that require a resistive load impedance on the outputs at initial power-up to detect the presence of speakers. If there is no load, the supply turns off the outputs, usually for the rear only. Therefore, if during the calibration process you cannot adjust the input signal level due to a lack of signal on some or all of the inputs of the Audison AP 8.9 bit, when installing the ASP module, a temporary load will be simulated after the AP 8.9 bit is turned on; then this load will be automatically shut down and the problem will be solved. Thanks to ASP technology, it is not necessary to connect fixed resistors at the source outputs; the resistors would generate heat and in addition degrade the signal source unnecessarily.
