As a result of the natural aging process of smooth pigmented leather, their surface becomes brittle and cracks. Colorlock Farbe Neutral is an ideal solution in situations where the leather is too fragile to be repaired with putty, or the damage is too great, but simply reviving the color with Leder Fresh toning dye is not enough. The product Farbe Neutral is a very durable liquid binder that stabilizes slightly cracked surfaces where the use of alternative products with filling ability is not an option. It is characterized by high flexibility and reliable strengthening of a fragile surface. Keep in mind that once damaged leather will never be like new! If the damage is very extensive, it is worth considering replacing the existing leather with a new one. Leather surfaces treated with repair paint are no longer intended for everyday use.

Instructions for use Colourlock Lederfarbe Neutral

• Before each repair, clean the area thoroughly with Lederreiniger Mild. Avoid open cracks.
• Carefully degrease the repair site with Leder Reinigungsbenzin, which will ensure proper adhesion of subsequent renovation products.
• Carefully smooth the rough areas with the Leder Schleifpad sanding sponge so as not to make the damage worse.
• Apply the Farbe Neutral correction color to the sponge and spread it evenly over the surface. Then let the area dry on its own.
• The drying of the binder will cause a rough surface, which can be sanded again using the Leder Schleifpad sanding sponge. After sanding, wipe off the dust with a cloth moistened with Leder Reinigungsbenzin.
• If necessary, repeat the procedure. Fill deep cracks with Flüssigleder elastic sealant.
• Refresh a sufficiently stabilized surface with Leder Fresh toning paint. When matching larger color differences, apply the color by dabbing or circular motions in multiple steps. Dry the individual layers continuously with a hair dryer. Smooth out any unevenness with a sanding sponge.
• In the next 24 hours, treat the surface with a suitable impregnation. Use Elephant Lederfett nourishing wax on shiny leather, impregnate matte surfaces with Leder Protector.
• Important warning! If new damage appears after the renovation, repair it without delay. It could be expanded.
