Mercedes-Benz A-Class - soundproofing and speaker replacement

Soundproofing of the second generation Mercedes A-Class car. The W169 model from 2004 is completely different in design and construction compared to the current generation. The unusual and perhaps slightly unusual design is based on the previous model, from which it inherited not only its curves, but also honest German quality. The design of the car together with the poor sound insulation of this model causes a very unpleasant noise that can be heard from almost all sides as the speed increases. The fault is mainly the complete lack of protection against vibrations, very weak sound insulation, but also aerodynamic noise. For us, one of the worst soundproofed vehicles we've had in the workshop so far. So it's no wonder that the owner of this car asked us to fix it. So we agreed with the customer on our most requested Premium sound deadening package, which had to be customized for this car. Specifically, we will focus on the front, rear and fifth doors, the floor, the luggage compartment, the front and rear wheel arches from the inside and outside, and the hood. For noise reduction, we use top-quality Comfortmat anti-vibration and sound-insulating materials, including several recently published novelties. These will enable even more effective noise reduction than ever before. As part of the soundproofing, we also replaced the factory speakers in the front doors. The choice fell on the new component speakers of the Italian manufacturer Hertz from the improved Dieci model series in a limited edition. The price for noise reduction alone was CZK 35,048.
