3M Vinyl Tape 471+ delivers performance and productivity, creating fine masking lines in many critical painting and coating applications. Sharp, clean paint separation lines are possible because the tape resists lifting and its universal rubber adhesive adheres to a wide variety of surfaces, including resins. This can then be removed cleanly from flat or more complex surfaces. 3M Vinyl Tape 471+ with a universal rubber adhesive and a slightly translucent backing layer that allows precise masking alignment and matching with simple or complex patterns. This tape provides clean removal with no adhesive residue, even after a 30 minute firing cycle at 250ºF (121ºC). The tape is designed to conform well to curves, stretch and stay attached, even with a radius of around 1.5". It copies irregular patterns and creates sharp lines. Its slight translucency allows for additional alignment and adjustments on patterns with complex curves. This flexible the vinyl backing layer is also abrasion resistant and will protect adjacent surfaces in most sandblasting operations.When finished, it can be removed in one piece while maintaining the sharp paint lines it helped create.
