Meguiar's Carpet & Interior Cleaner (473 ml)

Coffee stains, lipstick, oil and other difficult-to-remove dirt should not be a permanent part of carpets, upholstery or plastic and rubber parts. Unlike ordinary household cleaners, Meguiar's Carpet & Interior Cleaner will remove even the most stubborn stains and dirt, whether water or oil based, without changing the color of the cleaned surface or leaving any maps on the surface. You can also use it on Alcantara.

Removes stains permanently and does not leave a sticky residue after cleaning, to which new dirt could cling. In addition, it contains emollients that help the overall softness of the fibers after their treatment and thus make cleaning significantly more efficient. Just spray the product on the contaminated area, leave it on for at least 30 seconds, and then wipe it off with a microfiber cloth. It is not necessary to vacuum it from the upholstery. You can achieve a higher cleaning effect if you gently brush the surface with a brush, e.g. made of horsehair, during the product's action.

Procedure for cleaning textile upholstery

• Before cleaning, vacuum the surface of the upholstery from loose dirt.
• Spray evenly on the contaminated surface and leave for at least 30 seconds.
• Wipe the surface thoroughly with a clean and dry microfiber cloth to transfer the dirt from the upholstery to the cloth.
• Before each wipe, fold the cloth over a clean part to avoid re-contamination of the surface.
• Finally, wipe the entire surface of the upholstery with a second, dry and clean microfiber cloth.
• Some stubborn dirt and stains (especially coffee stains and others) may require repeated application.

Meguiar's tips

• The sooner you remove the stain, the easier it will be. Older and dried stains may require repeated application.
• If you need to clean a wet stain, such as from coffee, first dry the surface with a clean and dry microfiber cloth or paper towel to remove excess and undried liquid. Only then clean the pollution using the procedure described above.

Alcantara cleaning procedure

• Alcantara is not leather, but a special type of microfiber, so it can be treated in a similar way to microfiber, but more gently. Alcantara is much more susceptible to mechanical damage than regular microfiber.
• Pollution prevention is the best way to maintain alcantara. Regular vacuuming and avoiding stains is therefore the best method to keep Alcantara soft to the touch for a long time, as well as beautiful and luxurious to look at.
  
• Lightly soiled alcantara
  • Spray some distilled water on a clean microfiber cloth.
  • Wipe the dirty surface, taking care not to soak the Alcantara with water.
  • Wipe the surface dry with a second, dry and clean microfiber towel.
  • Do not rub the Alcantara with great pressure or force - there is a risk of mechanical damage!
    
• Heavily soiled alcantara
  • Spray a very small amount of G9416 Meguiar's Carpet & Interior Cleaner onto the soiled surface. Make sure that the alcantara surface is not soaked with the product.
  • Use a very fine brush (e.g. made of fine horse hair, which you can also find in our offer) to loosen the dirt from the Alcantara and then gently wipe it with a dry, clean microfibre cloth and dry the surface completely.
    
• Important tips
  • Before cleaning, always vacuum the surface thoroughly from loose dirt.
  • Use only a soft brush made of horsehair (you can find it in our offer) or the wet microfibre cloth method. Brushes with hard, e.g. nylon bristles could damage or tear the alcantara.
  • Moisten the microfibre cloth often during cleaning, this will prevent re-contamination of the surface.
  • Use only distilled water. Regular water contains dissolved minerals that could create maps and stains on the Alcantara surface.
  • Make sure that the alcantara surface is not soaked with water or cleaning agents. When Alcantara gets wet, there is a risk of stains and maps.
  • Work very gently and carefully with Alcantara. Alcantara is much more susceptible to mechanical damage than ordinary fabrics.
  • The cleaning procedure may need to be repeated for heavier dirt or stubborn stains. Keep in mind that two to three repetitions of gentle cleaning are always better than one aggressive cleaning.
  • Never use aggressive cleaners, products containing bleach or solvents!
