Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wash & Wax delivers two unique products in one bottle, thanks to which you will achieve results like never before! Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wash (larger container) is a pH-neutral blend of effective, surface-active substances that effectively, yet gently, remove dirt from the surface of the bodywork. They are completely gentle on the paint and all types of its protection, clear and unpainted plastics, chrome parts and all other parts that you will find in the exterior of your car. Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic SiO2 Boost (small container) is an additive that takes washing to a whole new level thanks to extreme water repellency (hydrophobicity) and hybrid ceramic protection! Both together create a combination that will dazzle you with its smoothness, cleanliness and hydrophobicity after just washing!

Tips for washing your car

Careless washing is the main source of paint damage! Improper hand washing or visiting gantry/brush washers will inevitably result in scratches and damage to your paintwork!
Always wash in such a way as to eliminate the risk of damaging your paintwork.
Always use only your own, proven shampoo, not over-the-counter shampoos whose origin is unknown to you and whose washing properties have not been carefully verified.
Do not use dishwashing detergents, household detergents, non-contact or active cleaners and foams, degreasers, solvents and other detergents! These cleaners are usually not gentle on the protective wax layer or polishing oils on the surface of your paint, they dry it out and leave it exposed and without any protection! Unprotected paint will very soon start to degrade on the surface, its oxidation and loss of gloss will begin to show, it is very dangerously exposed to the adverse effects of the surrounding environment and is significantly more susceptible to mechanical and chemical damage!
The water you wash your car with should be as close to body temperature as possible.
Use the 2-bucket method or a Meguiar's bucket with a Grit Guard liner .
Do not use foam sponges. These sponges cannot effectively absorb dirt and you can scratch the paint by using them. Use only a gentle washing glove with very fine bristles made of microfiber or natural lamb's wool, which catch small dirt and absorb it.
Ideal for use with the hybrid ceramic shampoo, and for the best results, is the X210200 Meguiar's Hybrid Wash Mitt!
Always dry your car after washing! This will prevent the formation of water spots caused by minerals contained in the water. In addition, active drying prevents the redeposition of dust during spontaneous drying.
For drying, use only a quality, extremely absorbent microfiber drying towel, such as X1905 Meguiar's Supreme Drying Towel XL, X2000 Meguiar's Water Magnet , or a superior natural chamois such as X2100 Meguiar's Natural Chamois . Locally, you can dry hard-to-reach areas with compressed air (watch out for re-contamination with oil that can spray out of the nozzle!). We do not recommend drying with a silicone squeegee, which can catch a grain of dust and scratch the paint!
Meguiar's shampoo doesn't need to lather at all, yet it has all its great properties and is 100% gentle! Always mix the shampoo into the water so that the foam does not overflow from the bucket before you have enough water in the bucket. No need to lather the shampoo extremely!

Recommended procedure for washing a car

The vehicle body must be cool to the touch and in the shade.
Rinse your car from loose dirt with pressurized water or a squeegee from the bottom up! The lower parts of the car are the most dirty, so when rinsing from the bottom up, the water acts on the dirtiest places for the longest time, soaking the dirt for the longest time. In addition, all the dirt from the higher parts flows downwards and thus helps to remove soaked dirt from thresholds, wheels or chassis parts.
Place 3 scoops of shampoo from a large container (3 oz. per scoop) into the bucket and fill with approximately 12 quarts of water.
Next, add half a scoop (0.5 oz.) of SiO2 Boost from the small container directly into the bucket of water and shampoo.
Observe the stated dilution ratio! Using more SiO2 Boost will not improve results, protection or hydrophobicity!
For maximum results, protection and hydrophobicity, use in combination with Meguiar's X210200 Hybrid Wash Mitt - wash one part of the body with the orange, wash side of the mitt, then turn the mitt to the gray, wax side and wipe the same part of the body again to spread the hybrid ceramic protection.
Wash from top to bottom, i.e. from the cleanest parts to the dirtiest.
When soaking the glove in the bucket, always wash it carefully so that all dirt is removed and you do not return it to your paint.
Rinse the shampoo from the body using pressurized water or a squeegee from top to bottom. The running water will help you remove the shampoo even from hard-to-reach places.
Finally, rinse the car once again, slowly from top to bottom, but this time only with a very thin stream of water flowing freely from the hose without the pressure attachment. With this step, up to 90% of the remaining water can be removed from the varnish, making subsequent drying much easier!
Dry the car with a quality, extremely absorbent microfiber drying towel such as X1905 Meguiar's Supreme Drying Towel XL, X2000 Meguiar's Water Magnet or a premium natural chamois such as X2100 Meguiar's Natural Chamois .
