All Morel Hybrid MW mid-bass models feature Morel's top technologies. A 2 ¼” aluminum hexatech external voice coil wound on an aluminum body allows for stable, efficient and linear piston-like movement that effectively reduces distortion levels. Morel's optimized one-piece DPC diaphragm forms a flat geometric plane that improves sound dispersion and dynamics, creating a realistic three-dimensional sound presentation. The suspension of the new hybrid woofers improves the mechanical movement and stability of the diaphragm, giving it a very low level of distortion at high power and a better low-frequency dynamic range.

DPC membrane

DPC or Damped Polymer Cone is a direct derivative of the membranes on which Morel built its reputation. Thanks to its high auto-damping characteristics, this diaphragm provides exceptional sound quality without coloration or harshness.

Hybrid magnetic drive

The hybrid drive system uses a ferrite magnet along with a very powerful neodymium magnet. Combined, they create a compact and lightweight system that is up to four times more powerful than conventional designs of the same size. With a hybrid system, more of the amplified power is converted to sound energy for flawless performance, even in a small driver.
