Morel Elate Carbon MM3 center speakers

The Elate Carbon MM3 is a true masterpiece. The dedicated 3.5" center drivers combine a large 2.1" voice coil and Morel's EVC motor design, which encapsulates a high-efficiency neodymium magnet system and a newly developed three-layer carbon fiber / Rohacell diaphragm. With exceptional power handling and low fs, they are Able to play at a lower frequency than other midranges of their size, the MM3 achieves the right balance of acoustic and mechanical attributes to offer a very flat frequency response, beautifully smooth midrange and tonal balance.

Neodymium magnet

The strongest magnet available, neodymium, allows Morel to create physically compact speakers such as tweeters and midrange speakers that fit into a very limited space without compromising sound quality. MM3 has just this neodymium magnet.

Carbon fiber membrane

The membrane consists of two carbon fiber outer shells that wrap around a layer of Rohacell, which is a high-strength, low-weight foam. The combination is a membrane that is light, strong and properly damped for natural sound reproduction.

Morel Lotus luxury grid

Morel's new Lotus-branded grille has a specific pattern of holes in different shapes and diameters designed to minimize the "horn" effect (a high-frequency peak caused by the resonant frequency of multiple holes of the same size).
