Volkswagen Touran - new sound system and soundproofing of the doors

We installed a complete new sound system in the VW Touran. For the front and rear doors, we chose components from the Israeli brand Morel of the basic Maximus series, which our customer liked most sonically in our demo panel at the store and therefore also chose them for his car. The speakers have a very superior sound for their price category, after all, just like all Morel brand components. Detailed and pleasant-to-listen tweeters with a typical "sweet and warm" sound timbre and a mid-bass with precise and dynamic bass - you'll get used to it quickly. Although the Maximus series is specific in that the loudspeakers, thanks to the extreme sensitivity of 94 dB, are able to play very well even on the factory car radio, we still installed a five-channel Audison amplifier for their maximum use. And its presence had a very positive effect not only on the performance of the speakers, but of course also on the resulting sound without distortion at the highest volumes. To support the dynamics of the new sound system, the customer chose a subwoofer in the Gladen box, which provides not only powerful bass, but also the required quality and accuracy. This very successful sound system lacked only a DSP processor for more accurate sound tuning, but it is planned to add it in the future. Of course, thorough soundproofing of the doors and their plastic fillings with SGM premium materials from the top Prime line, which are aimed not only at high efficiency, but also at very light weight, without burdening doors, could not be missing.
